I started my first YouTube channel way back in 2012 -- when you'd think it would have been "easy" to grow it.
But after more than two years of posting, my audience had barely grown and I still wasn’t monetized.
I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong!
So, I hunkered down for the next 18 months and became a student of YouTube -- especially the algorithm.
I analyzed literally thousands of videos and channels, determined to figure out why SOME succeeded and others (like mine) failed to ever take off.
Eventually, I was ready to start a new channel and try again.
And this time, my results were a little different...
I surpassed 1,000 subscribers less than three months after starting -- and by the end of my first year, my channel had grown to 55,000 subscribers. 🤯
Today, over 600,000 people are subscribed to my channel -- a milestone I truly never thought I'd be able to reach.
I didn't think I had the "right personality" or that anyone would be interested in what I had to say. And I knew I didn't know how to make good videos -- or even properly work a camera, for that matter!
